• The Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post is a single newspaper today. However, prior to October 1984, there were two separate newspapers, The Fredericksburg Standard and The Fredericksburg Radio Post. Therefore, any names shown prior to October 1984 may be in either or both of the papers.
• More significant in older issues but still occurring today, the paper sometimes has a death section located elsewhere in the paper (usually but not always in the first section) that lists obituary information. The researcher should search the entire paper if a name appears in this index but is not found in the obvious obituary section.
• Only one obituary date is shown for each individual even though some individuals appeared in the obituaries for several issues. The reviewer should search both before and after the listed date for the possibility of additional information. The date of death will be the key to where your search should begin.
• The obituaries may be viewed on microfilm at the Pioneer Memorial Library, 115 West Main Street, Fredericksburg, TX.
